Join librarians Allison and Diane for a monthly book group! Dive into a new read and meet for an in-person book discussion.

Assist our librarians with a variety of tasks after school, which will vary on the day. Please note, due to the small number of spaces, this program is restricted to CSH library card holders only.

For children ages 3-5 with adult

Have fun exploring famous artworks and making your own in this program designed especially to support early childhood learning. 

Grades 7-12. Newcomers to the teen library volunteer program will get an overview, introductory folder and information on some upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Decorate bookmarks that we will laminate and provide to the community at our circulation desk! We will have ideas for seasonal themes on hand. Earn 1 hour of community service.

In the event of a library closure, the makeup date for the November-December session is January 8.

For children ages 2-3

A beginning storytime filled with more advanced stories, songs, fingerplays, movement, and crafts.

Registration with a Cold Spring Harbor Library Card is required!

Together we’ll hand paint a pair of taper candles that's lovely and fun. We'll review creative design ideas, helpful references and plan it out before applying special paint techniques.

Grades 7-12. Earn community service credit for assisting our librarians with this children's program for kids ages K-5 including setup, operating the program and cleanup.

For children in grades K-5

Layer chocolate chip cookie ingredients in a mason jar for a fun gift (or to bake yourself).

Grades 6-12. Grab your friends for some Mario Kart 8 and snacks in the Teen Room. We will have the game up on our huge TV! 

Registration for January-February ADULT Programs begins today at 9:30am for those with a valid Cold Spring Harbor Library card.
