Program Description

Event Details

For adults and teens. This talk will feature spotted lanternfly, an invasive, planthopper now spreading rapidly through  Long Island; emerald ash borer, a beetle that has killed many of our ash trees around the area; box tree moth, a destroyer of boxwoods now in western NY, and several other invasive pests on the radar at Cornell Cooperative Extension. Q and A to follow.

Teens who attend will receive 1 hour of community service as an oath commitment to looking out for these invasive animals.
