This is an in-person program and will take place at the library.
Join beekeeper Gerald Raffa for a presentation about the loss of bees due to pesticides, sickness and weather. Learn about bee hierarchy, caring for bees, feeding bees and a host of other bee related topics. See the tools that a beekeeper uses such as a beekeeper’s suit, a small hive (without the bees) and other beekeeping articles. Gerald is the beekeeper for the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport, NY, and a member of the Long Island Beekeepers Club.
