A beginning storytime filled with more advanced stories, songs, fingerplays, movement, and crafts.

Registration with a Cold Spring Harbor Library Card is required!

Grades 7-12. Earn community service credit for assisting our librarians with this children's program for kids ages K-5 including setup, operating the program and cleanup.

For children in grades K-5

Using crayons and watercolor, create a painting that is as unique as a snowflake!

Assist our librarians with a variety of tasks after school, which will vary on the day. Please note, due to the small number of spaces, this program is restricted to CSH library card holders only.

(5) Fridays: January 16, 23 & February 6, 13, 20 from 1pm to 3:15pm (no 1/30)
In the event of a library closure, the makeup date for this class will be February 27, 2026.

For children ages 2-5 with adult

Who knew a sponge could be so much fun?  Get colorful and paint the afternoon away!  Using winter inspired shaped sponges, create a masterpiece.

Grades 7-12. Assist our librarians in set-up, break-down, conducting crafts and stalls at our Winter Festival. Earn 4 hours of community service credit. Please meet outside the large meeting room on the lower level. Dress for a mess!

For children with their families. Join us for our 2nd annual Winter Festival! We will have refreshments, games, crafts, music, and much more. Come early as supplies are limited. 

(6) Mondays: January 12, 19, 26 & February 2, 9, 23 from 10 am-12 pm (no 2/16)

In the event of a library closure, the makeup for this class is scheduled for Monday, March 2.

Have a paw-some time and practice your reading skills by reading to a certified therapy dog!  Each child will have 15 minutes to read to a dog.

Enjoy sharing rhymes, songs, and movements with your child.
