For children in grades K-5

Take a deep dive into the paintings of Claude Monet, one of the most famous artists of all time. Learn about his Impressionist art, then create your own painting inspired by his work.

Assist our librarians with a variety of tasks after school, which will vary on the day. Please note, due to the small number of spaces, this program is restricted to CSH library card holders only.

For children ages 3-5 with an adult

(6) Wednesdays: May 6, 13, 20, 27 & June 3, 10 from 6:30-8:30 pm 

Assemble a mini bouquet using pre-made cupcakes that you will ice and decorate to look like flowers. The cupcakes will be artfully arranged in a small planter to create a gift-ready centerpiece that’s both beautiful and delicious!

For children ages 2-5 with adult

Using household ingredients, learn to make playdough.  Then use cookie cutters to make fun floral shapes.

Grades 7-12. Newcomers to the teen library volunteer program will get an overview, introductory folder and information on some upcoming volunteer opportunities.

(6) Mondays: May 11, 18 & June 1, 8, 15, 22 from 6:30pm-7:30pm (no 5/25/26)
In the event of a library closure, the makeup for this session will be June 29. 

A librarian will give you a tour of the teen room, collections and cool things the library has to offer, so that you can spread the word! Provide your feedback and opinions.

Please join us for an informative stroke awareness and prevention lecture focused on recognizing early warning signs of strokes and understanding the risk factors that can lead to them.

(6) Tuesdays: May 12, 19, 26 & June 2, 9, 16 from 10 am-11 am.
In the event of a library closure, the makeup date will be 6/23/26.

Enjoy sharing rhymes, songs, and movements with your child.
