A Matter of Balance
(8) Wednesdays: September 11-October 30, 1pm-3pm

Assist our librarians with a variety of tasks after school, which will vary on the day. Please note, due to the small number of spaces, this program is restricted to CSH library card holders only. 

For children in grades 3 & 4

Come on down and chat and snack!  This month we will be reading Bunnicula: A Rabbit-Tale of Mystery by Deborah Howe and James Howe.

Volunteers grades 7-12. Earn 1.5 hours of community service credit by assisting us making decorative tote bags, which will be filled with supplies from our October food drive to benefit Helping Hand Rescue Mission.

This is an in-person program that will take place at the library.
(6) Wednesdays: September 11, 18, 25 & October 2, 9, 16 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm

(6) Thursdays: September 12, 26 & October 3, 17, 24, 31 at 10am (class does not meet 9/19 and 10/10)

For children ages 2-3

A beginning storytime filled with more advanced stories, songs, fingerplays, movement, and crafts.

Registration with a Cold Spring Harbor Library Card is required!

For children in grades K-5

Create a spooky Frankenstein planter out of terracotta pots!

Assist our librarians with a variety of tasks after school, which will vary on the day. Please note, due to the small number of spaces, this program is restricted to CSH library card holders only. 

This is a virtual program. Registration for this program will open on the date of the previous month's Heart of the Harbor Book Discussion. 

Grades 6-12. Paint and decorate small pumpkins to take home.

This is an in-person program that will take place at the library.

(6) Fridays, September 27-November 1, from 10 am-12 pm

For children ages 2-3

(5) Fridays: September 13, 20, 27 & October 18, 25  from 1 pm to 3 pm (class does not meet on 10/4 and 10/11)

For Children Ages 2-5 with Adult

Using paper, glue, and imagination create your very own spooky tree.

For students preparing for the tests. Take your test of choice and receive a diagnostic report after it is scored by Curvebreakers. Breaks will be given.

Explore the iconic Day of the Dead prints by Mexican illustrator Jose Guadalupe Posada then create your own art inspired by his style and technique.

For children in grades 3-5

Create a spooky table décor!

Registration with a Cold Spring Harbor Library Card is required!

Grades 7-12. Earn community service credit for assisting our librarians with this childrens program for Grades K-5 including setup, operating the program and cleanup.

For children in grades K-5

Create spooky treats using chocolate and Rice Krispy treats!

Meet in the Underground (teen room)

This is an in-person program that will take place in the library.

For children ages 6 months to 24 months with adult

Enjoy sharing rhymes, songs, and movements with your child.
