Due to predicted weather of ongoing precipitation and winds, we are cancelling the beach cleanup Saturday. Especially since the meadow pathway to the beach will be muddy and waterlogged. I am looking at potential reschedule dates dependant on tide charts, but if we do not find one before it gets more wintry I will plan to hold one in April for Citizen Science month.
Grades 7-12. Happy Earth Day! Take a tour of the Shore Road Sanctuary here in CSH, learning about the biodiversity on the shoreline with a member of the North Shore Land Alliance. We will end the program by cleaning up debris along the beach.
Teens who attend will receive 1.5 hours of community service credit.
Permission slips required (all registrants will be emailed a slip that must be filled out and either scanned or brought to the library). Drop-off and pickup suggested, as the site has little parking.
