Grades 6-12. Our librarian Peter will guide the group through 1st level DnD character creation including stat rolls, creating backstory and character design. Players will be able to take home these character sheets, a free pack of dice and the knowledge of the basics of how the roleplaying tabletop game is played.
We will finish the program with a brief intro scenario for the characters.

What is DnD?
Dungeons and Dragons is a tabletop roleplaying game (popularly portrayed in the Stranger Things TV show) in which players act out adventures with their characters. These adventures can range from solving the mystery of a stolen pie at a bakery to fighting a legendary, evil dragon in its lair.
One person, the Game Master, guides the group their the events and the others are players who describe how they react, with success or failures determined by dice rolls and their abilities statistics. Each character has a level progression in which they gain new abilities, and distinct classes (wizard, fighter, bard) that makes them distinct!
