Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing. In the heart of winter, we turn to one of the greatest tales of endurance in the cold! Brave the ice-bound seas with Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew in this extraordinary survival story. We will pair our reading with a dive into the archives from Cold Spring's own arctic shipwrecks, uncovering tales of danger and disaster for sailors navigating the frozen seas.

Free for museum members and patrons of Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington and South Huntington libraries.
